26 Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Recipes for Busy Weeknights

I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of finding new things to make in my slow cooker. Chicken is probably one of the things I cook in it most because there are just so many different ways you can use it, and it’s usually pretty hard to go wrong.

I’ve pulled together some of my favorite slow cooker chicken recipes here and there’s a real mixture. Some are lovely and creamy, some are sweet and sticky, and there are things like fajitas, curry, pasta and rice dishes too. Basically, plenty to choose from depending on what everyone fancies that day.

For me, the best thing about a slow cooker dinner is getting it started earlier in the day and knowing dinner is pretty much taken care of. It makes those busy evenings so much easier, especially when I really don’t feel like standing in the kitchen trying to work out what to make.

Why You’ll Love These Recipes

  • They’re easy – That’s the whole reason I love my slow cooker. Most days I just want to get dinner sorted without spending ages in the kitchen.
  • There’s a bit of everything – Some are creamy, some are cheesy, some are sweet and sticky and there are a few with a bit of spice too.
  • They work for busy days – I love knowing dinner is already cooking, especially on those days when everything seems to happen at once.
  • Plenty of family favorites – These are proper family dinners and there’s lots here that even fussier eaters should enjoy.
  • You can use your slow cooker all year – I know we tend to think of it more in fall and winter, but I honestly use mine whatever the weather.
