Buying and renewing our insurance policies is one of those boring jobs that we all have to do from time to time. The insurance providers and comparison sites are all in competition to gain our business, and sometimes they will offer incentives to encourage us to use them over the other providers. Confused.com Rewards is the latest offering from the comparison site Confused.com.

With Confused.com Rewards, you can earn a reward when you buy car, home or van insurance through the Confused.com comparison site.

What Confused.com Rewards Can I Claim?

There are four different rewards to choose from when you buy an eligible insurance policy through confused.com.

£20 to spend at Lidl with Lidl Plus

When I recently bought car insurance with The AA through Confused.com, I chose the £20 Lidl coupon. This was really easy to use. Once my purchase had been verified by Confused.com, they sent me an email asking me to download the Lidl Plus app if I hadn’t already.

I already use Lidl Plus, so all I needed to do was confirm my email address. A few days later, the £20 coupon was added to my Lidl Plus app and £20 was automatically deducted from my bill when I scanned the app in-store. You can use the Lidl Plus coupon for anything except alcohol and infant formula.

12 free car washes at IMO Car Wash

This is a nice offer, especially in the colder months when washing the car is the last thing anyone wants to be doing! You can choose to have 12 free car washes at IMO Car Wash.

£20 to spend at Halfords

You can choose to receive a physical gift card or an e-gift card worth £20 to spend at Halfords. This could be a nice gift for someone.

Free recipe box from Hello Fresh

You can choose a free recipe box containing three meals from Hello Fresh. If you’re struggling to put food on the table at the moment like so many families are, then this and the £20 Lidl Plus coupon are probably the best to choose from. How to Claim Confused.com Rewards

It’s really easy to claim Confused.com Rewards.

• Buy your car, van or home insurance through Confused.com.
• Go to your Confused.com account and select Rewards.
• Choose your reward and fill in the short form. You have 90 days to do this.
• Wait for the email from Confused.com containing your reward.

As with any rewards scheme, make sure you’re familiar with the terms and conditions.

Who can claim Confused.com Rewards?

Anyone who has bought car, van, buildings or contents insurance through the Confused.com comparison site can claim a reward.

Is there a time limit to claim my reward?

Once you’ve bought your insurance policy, you have 90 days to claim your reward, after that time, you won’t be able to claim.

How many rewards can I claim?

You can receive one reward for every eligible insurance policy you buy.

I haven’t received my reward.

Confused.com need to verify your purchase before issuing your reward, they say to allow 14 days for this. Once they’ve issued the reward, you will need to use the code they send within 30 days. The exception is the Lidl Plus coupon. For this, you will receive an email link asking you to confirm the email address you use for the Lidl Plus App. You have 30 days to confirm your email address and then a further 28 days to use the coupon once it’s added to your Lidl Plus account.

If you’ve allowed enough time to pass and still haven’t received your reward, then contact Confused.com directly.

Once I’ve claimed my reward, how long is it valid for?

Once you receive your reward, the email will give you an expiry date, so make sure you check this and use your reward in time.

I’ve changed my mind, can I choose a different reward?

Once you’ve chosen your reward, you can’t change your mind, even if you haven’t used it.

Confused.com Rewards – Is it worth it?

You should always shop around to find the best insurance quote as premiums can vary drastically between insurance providers. If you find a cheaper quote elsewhere, then weigh up the price difference to work out whether it’s worth going through Confused.com. If there is only a slight price difference, then it’s probably worth going through Confused.com in order to receive your reward.
