Weekly Meal Plan No 10
It’s been a while since I’ve shared one of my meal plans. But I did used to get messages saying how helpful they were for families just stuck in a rut with their meals or struggling to come up with ideas each week. I don’t claim to have the most radical, exotic meals, but it’s always useful to get ideas from somebody else when you’re planning what the family is going to eat each night.
Monday – Quiche, loaded slow cooker potatoes & salad. You can see how I cook the loaded potatoes in the slow cooker over on my Instagram story highlights.
Tuesday – Pasta bake, garlic bread & salad. I will be using a pasta sauce jar from ASDA this week. Sometimes I make my own sauce, but with the kids home from school this week I want quick and easy options. The jar of sauce only cost £0.70, so it’s a fairly cheap meal.
Wednesday – Slow cooker chicken tikka with rice, naan & poppadoms.
Thursday – Jacket potatoes/pizza. Thursday evening is swimming lesson time, so I always tend to plan quick and easy things my husband can throw in the oven. Jacket potatoes are one of my favourite meals, but unfortunately, none of the kids will eat them, so it’ll be a frozen pizza shared between them.
Friday – Slow cooked gammon, chips & beans. Everyone in our house loves gammon done in the slow cooker. It’s so soft and really tasty and always goes down well.
Saturday – Chicken & veg stir fry.
Sunday – Chicken roast dinner with air fryer roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
Some of the meals will likely get switched around since the kids have a few things pencilled in this week, so I’ll switch the meal plan as and when I need to.
