Christmas Stocking Mission Complete
I’m feeling a lot less stressed about the Christmas stockings now. My main issue was finding bits for my eldest. He’s 10 and is only really interested in gaming and books. In our house, the children’s stockings just contain a few cheap and cheerful bits for them to open when they wake up before going downstairs to find their main presents.
My daughter, who’s 7, is really easy to buy “bits” for. A few bits of kiddified makeup, nail polish and general girly bits and she’s sorted. My youngest is 20 months and into cars, trains and dinosaurs so he was fairly straightforward to sort too!
After writing in my blog about my struggles, a very kind lady commented on my Facebook page recommending I have a look in B & M. I wish I’d thought of it sooner! You’d think this was a common sense shop to look in, but me with my addled, faffy brain just didn’t think.
I’m really pleased with my finds.
Pokeball chocolates
Pokeball
Cadbury’s selection bad
Glow sticks
Astro Ball (not 100% sure what this does!)
Melting putty dinosaur
Drumstick sweets
I also found Trolls chocolates for my daughter in there too, she’s not seen the film yet but loves the merchandise!
I need to spend some time going through everything now and seeing who’s got what to make sure we’re done. It feels like a never-ending mission at the moment but the end is definitely in sight now.
Who made Christmas so stressful?!
