Where to find free samples
There are lots of places you can find free samples.
Latest Free Stuff is a really useful website. They post daily freebies and you can sign up to their newsletter to receive the latest free stuff straight to your inbox.
Magic Freebies is another great site for finding free samples.
With Magic Freebies, you can find all kinds of free stuff, plus they have a fantastic community and a really popular competition section – so it’s a great site for compers too.
Extreme Couponing have a freebie section on their website where you can find freebies in these categories:
And then there’s Free Samples where you can find lots of free samples, with the site updated six times every week with new freebies.
Other ways to receive free products
Free samples tend to be smaller than the full-size products that the brands sell. You CAN actually get hold of free full-sized items too.
I regularly claim free products through the Shopmium app.
If you download the app through my link below, the very first thing you’ll receive is a lovely tub of nutella (freebie subject to change). Not bad simply for downloading an app!
Shopmium regularly updates with new freebies and reduced products. Usually these products are brand new to the market. In return for your freebie, the brands simply want an honest review. With Shopmium, you buy the products as you usually would, then scan the item into the app and upload a photo of your receipt. Shopmium then refund your costs really quickly, usually within 24 hours.
Review Amazon products
In the past I have signed up to Amazon review sites such as Vipon. The idea here is that you receive a heavily reduced product in return for an Amazon review. This used to be a great way to get hold of freebies, however Amazon have recently made it more difficult as they frown upon sellers giving away their products in return for reviews. You can still get really great discounts though.
Cashback sites often offer freebies as incentives to new customers.
TopCashBack regularly offer free pizzas, free make up, free perfume, and even large discounts from supermarket shops.
Quidco offer similar incentives and both cashback sites are great to get into the habit of using whenever you’re shopping online. Cashback is basically free money!
I nearly didn’t include blogging here as bloggers do actually have to put in a lot of work in return for “free” products. Depending on their blog stats and numbers of social media followers, bloggers can bag all kinds of goodies.
I’ve received lots of products in return for a review, including an expensive rug and bedding, Christmas gifts and children’s toys. I know of bloggers who’ve received washing machines and holidays!
BUT bloggers receive the products in return for a blog post and social media sharing which they would usually charge for – so it’s not really free. But you might want to consider blogging if you’re serious about receiving products, then you might want to think about starting a blog – it makes a great side hustle too!
