How to make your own Chocolate Bouquet

A chocolate bouquet is a great gift to give, but buying ready-made bouquets can work out really expensive. Cutting back on spending is something we’re all trying to do at the moment, particularly as the cost of living just keeps on increasing. It’s really simple to make your own chocolate bouquet, but I’ve set out a step-by-step guide to give you a helping hand.

What you’ll need to make your own chocolate bouquet

Before you get started, you will need a few different items in order to make your own chocolate bouquet. Some of these you may already have at home, but some you’ll need to buy in. You can make this as cheap or as expensive as you like by shopping around, so don’t feel that you need to spend a fortune in order to make a beautiful bouquet.

To make your own chocolate bouquet, you will need:

  • A jar or box
  • Foam
  • Wooden Skewers
  • Glue
  • Chocolate bars or individual chocolates
  • Cellophane
  • Ribbon

And that’s it. Once you have those, you’re ready to start creating your gift.

A step-by-step guide to making your own chocolate bouquet

  1. Cut the foam to shape to fit into the base of your box or jar.
  2. Glue your treats to the skewers. You may find it best to use a glue gun to do this so that the chocolate bars or individual chocolates are firmly stuck down. You could also use tape to do this, but go for clear tape so that it doesn’t spoil the overall look of the finished bouquet. If you are using individual chocolates, then they need to be wrapped so that you can stick the glue or the tape to the wrapper rather than the chocolate!
  3. Push your finished skewers into the foam base and arrange the chocolate bars into a bouquet style.
  4. Wrap your finished bouquet carefully with cellophane.
  5. Tie a ribbon around the top of the box, at the base of the chocolate bars to give it a finished look. You can use a rubber band here to make sure the bouquet stays nice and secure.

And that’s it. It’s so simple to make your own chocolate bouquet.

If you’re on a budget, then you can buy multipacks of chocolate bars to use. Or, if you have a little more money to spend, you can choose luxury chocolate bars. Don’t forget to think about what the recipient of the bouquet likes. Are they a fan of Ferrero Rochers, do they prefer dark chocolate, or is Kinder chocolate more their style? You can also create the perfect gift for children in a similar way – you could maybe place Kinder Eggs around the base of the bouquet or hide delicious sweets under coloured tissue paper to make a lovely surprise for children.
