At the time of writing, you can buy this coin for £3.50 so it’s currently worth 7 times its face value. Still, it is a fairly new coin so it could well become worth more in the future, so if you do have one then it’s worth keeping hold of it.

Who is Tom Kitten

Tom Kitten is a well-loved character from the Beatrix Potter collection. He features in the story The Tale of Tom Kitten which tells the tale of Tom Kitten, Mittens and Moppet who love to get up to mischief. Their mother, Tabitha Twitchit is expecting guests and she makes sure they are all groomed to perfection and dressed smartly. She gives them strict instructions not to get dirty. The three naughty kittens can’t help themselves and not only do they get themselves dirty, but they also manage to lose some of their clothes to some passing puddle-ducks. When her guests arrive, Tabitha Twitchit sends the children upstairs and tells her guests they have the measles.

With such a mischievous nature, it’s hardly surprising that Tom Kitten is so popular.
