Making As Much Money From eBay As Possible

We’re all looking for simple ways to make money. Sure, you may have a nine to five and a steady income. But it’s always nice to have some sort of side income for extra cash that can be put into savings accounts or spent on luxuries. You could save for a mortgage deposit, a holiday, some items you’ve wanted for a long time – whatever you want. Now, there are plenty of ways to go about this. A second job. Freelance projects. Setting up your own business. But you can also make a fair amount selling things you don’t want or use anymore on online auction sites. Of course, eBay is the most popular. Believe it or not, people can make whole incomes on this site. So, you can approach it from the point of view of a casual seller, or you can try your hand at making a career of it. Whichever you opt for, here are a few different things you can do to maximise your sales and profits.

Know Your Products’ Worth

It’s important to know the actual worth of anything you’re selling on eBay. You don’t want to let something valuable go for too cheap. If something has a high value, you may want to create a higher starting price or simply list it as “buy it now” for the price that you want from it. If you’re unsure of a product’s worth, do a little research to find out the price tag others are putting on it.

Consider Selling Internationally

Many people won’t add international shipping options onto their listings. But at the end of the day, if the customer pays the shipping costs, what difference does it make? You simply open your items up to a wider audience if you allow for international shipping. You could also consider opening a euro bank account to take payments without having to potentially lose any money through conversion.

Focus on Product Photography

Remember that customers only have the images you provide them with to see what you’re selling. Nowadays, smartphone cameras are better than ever, so you can actually get some pretty impressive quality shots. Just use a plain white background if possible and take pictures of the item from all angles possible.

Create Good Product Descriptions

Don’t be lazy with your product descriptions. Instead, make sure to include any details a buyer might want to know about a product. Sure, it’ll take a little more time to create the listing. You may have to take measurements, check labels for materials and more. But all in all, it can save you time down the line answering questions that potential buyers will inevitably ask.

These are just a few different steps you need to take to make as much money from your sales on eBay as possible. Sure, listing on eBay will take a little time and effort. But when you see the funds mounting up from your sales, it’ll be more than worth it.
