Meet Cleo, A Handy Money Management Tool
Keeping track of your money can be a tricky business. If you’ve got bills coming out all through the month, you might find that you find your finances quickly spiralling out of control. Meet Cleo is a handy money management tool that sits in the Facebook messenger. It’s so simple to set up and could make a huge difference to how you handle your money.
How does Meet Cleo work?
Meet Cleo lives in Facebook Messenger. It takes a couple of minutes to register and then you can choose which accounts you’d like to connect. I’ve connected a Paypal account and my bills account as they’re my two busiest accounts and I can sometimes lose track of what’s gone out and what’s gone in!
Once you’ve connected, Meet Cleo will have read-only access to your bank accounts in real-time. You can check your balance simply by sending a quick message via Facebook Messenger. If you send “transaction”, you’ll get an up-to-date list of your most recent transactions, this one showed a couple of payments I’d received in from Shopmium.
Is it safe?
Of course, when it comes to your money, the first thing you need to worry about is security. Cleo can’t actually access your bank account. It can access your transactions in a read-only bank level encryption. They can’t move your money around and none of your details are stored on their servers. It’s completely safe.
User friendly
Cleo is incredibly easy to use, in fact it’s just like sending a message to anyone else. If you do have any issues, then you can speak to a human really easily too and they are pretty quick to respond.

I’ve heard of Cleo before, some of my friends swear by it. I’m actually quite savvy (read as: stingey) with money but I do feel this will help with seeing where my money is going each month.
