Making extra money is what I’m all about – and when I stumbled across this way to make money from my old receipts with Shoppix, I downloaded the app and dived straight in. Anything that makes me money from what’s effectively rubbish is a winner in my book!

Shoppix is by no means a quick way to make money – if you’re looking for quick ways to make money, then you might want to try matched betting which is a great way to boost your income when you need money pretty quickly.

What is Shoppix and how can you make money?

Shoppix is an app, available on both iPhone and Android that allows you to upload your receipts in return for points which can eventually be redeemed for PayPal cash or Amazon vouchers. I’d also recommend using the Receipt Hog app too which works in a similar way and you can upload the same receipts to both apps.

There are three ways to make money with the Shoppix app:

1. Upload receipts

Every time you go shopping, open up the Shoppix app, hit the camera icon at the bottom of the screen and take a photo of your receipt. You’ll then be asked how you’d rate your experience on a scale of 1-10 and that’s it!

The receipts usually take around 24 hours to be approved and you will receive Shoppix tokens for the first 30 uploaded and accepted receipts each week. It’s worth holding onto your receipts until you get a notification that they have been approved – I have had a couple of occasions where the date couldn’t be read and the receipt has been rejected and needed uploading again.

2. Surveys

Every so often, you will be able to complete a short survey in return for Shoppix tokens. The surveys are always really short and sweet and you can see exactly how many tokens you’re going to be awarded before you take part.

3. Scratchcards

Scratchcards give you instant token wins which are a great way to boost your totals and get you closer to being able to cashout.

How much money can you make with Shoppix?

As I said, Shoppix isn’t going to make you rich, but it’s a great hustle to add to your hustling portfolio!

I usually cash out £5 once every couple of months which I’m more than happy with as it’s basically free money.

How to redeem your tokens/cash out

Once you have built up 3,200 tokens, you’ll be able to cash out. I always prefer to cash out with PayPal as I like the actual cash, but you can also opt for Amazon vouchers, iTunes or Love 2 Shop.
