One way you can make money from home is to sell your unwanted items online. A popular way to do this is to list items on eBay where they are likely to be seen by hundreds of buyers. And there are some really weird things you can sell on eBay.

You may think you can only list items in good, working order, but you’d be surprised at what you can flog on there for cash. Things you may have discarded as junk and piled in the garage ready to take to the tip may actually make you money.

People buy these for all sorts of reasons. Schools and pre-school workers are often desperate for kitchen rolls for craft projects. They also come in handy to use for packaging.

So, instead of throwing these away, why not stash them away until you’ve got a good amount to list, this listing has 100 rolls listed for £15 – 100 rolls on eBay! That’s £15 that would otherwise have gone into your recycling bin.

Smelly Shoes

I admit I’ve not tried this one, but smelly shoes are big sellers on eBay. Pumps and heels that have been worn all summer sell quickly. Who knows who buys them! It could be somebody with a shoe fetish, but do you care? List them as well worn, include pictures and you may be surprised at how much they go for!

In fact, a pair of “well worn and well-loved” ballet shoes sold for £36!

List your items as “private” so that people feel safe purchasing. People with fetishes are often shy about it and prefer to remain anonymous to other eBayers. Don’t allow collection from your address, make sure it’s postage only. That way you’re protected.

Broken Electrical Items

One man’s junk is another man’s treasure as the saying goes.

An old phone or laptop that no longer works may be no use to you and you may have moved on and replaced it. However, some people enjoy fixing items and may jump at the chance to buy.

If you do list a broken item, make sure that your images and your description are clear about what the damage is. If it’s a broken screen or a cracked surround, show it clearly.

Great sellers are broken iPhones. Yes, somebody else may fix it and sell it on for a profit, but if it’s just going to sit in a drawer or get thrown away then at least you’ve profited from the sale too.
