Boost Your Income Challenge – Day 23

As a blogger, writing takes up a large part of my working day – and it’s one of the main ways I earn money. It’s funny because I never really set out to be a writer – but I guess that’s kind of what I am.

If you’ve always fancied making money writing, or even if it’s a new concept you might consider, there are lots of ways you can get started.

Could you be a writer

If you enjoy writing articles or you’re already blogging, then you might want to consider taking writing more seriously.

There are so many options when it comes to making money writing, and there are lots of ways to get into it.

You could:

Initially, you’ll need to build up a reputation and a portfolio for potential clients. This can be slow-going. You’ll probably spend your spare time working for not much money whilst you get yourself established.

Where to find work:

You could set up a website to showcase your work and attract new clients.

What kind of writer do you want to be?

You could work for an agency producing content for websites and online journals. Or, you could write features for magazines.

You might dream of writing your own novel. Go for it!

Don’t be put off if you pitch your work and initially get rejected. Remember that JK Rowling admits she was rejected numerous times before getting a publishing deal for Harry Potter.

Be determined, know your worth and never give up!

Have a read of this post for some inspiration on how to become a full-time freelance writer.
