One of my absolute favourite ways to make extra money is by finding ways to make passive income that I can then pass on to other people.
Passive income means that after some initial work, you can make money whilst you sleep – that’s my kind of work!
There are lots of ways to make money referring friends, and I would only ever recommend things that are completely risk-free and benefit you. As always, everything I share with you has been personally tried and tested.
There are so many different refer-a-friend programs you can sign up to. If you use services such as Profit Accumulator, then you can make a quick and easy £10 if they sign up with your refer-a-friend link.
Then, there are lots of opportunities with things such as banking, where you can get a referral fee if your friend signs up and mentions that you referred them. These kinds of offers come and go, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for them.
My favourite referral programs right now
If you sign up to the banking app Monese with a referral link and add £10 to your account, then you will get an extra £5 cash added to your balance. If you then refer a friend with your own link, you will get another £10 and they will get £5. There’s currently no limit on how many times you can do this.

The whole process of setting up an account is pretty interesting! But, the cash is instantly available to withdraw once it’s been credited (usually within a few hours) – it’s really easy money!
Another great refer-a-friend scheme at the moment is the Trading 212 app. Again, you need to use a referral link to sign up – mine is here. Then, choose an INVEST account and credit £1. Within one business day you will receive shares between £1 and £100 – I got £9. After a few days, you can sell and cash out. You will then also get more free shares for every friend you refer!
