It’s time for another installment!

Today I want to talk to you about using your existing skills.

Starting up a new side hustle doesn’t need to be ground-breaking in order to be successful and make you lots of money. Think about skills you already have – could you turn these into a profitable sideI line?

When I started out as a childminder, it was a natural progression for me. I’d worked in childcare previously and I’d actually trained as a teacher. I took a course and started childminding for just a few hours a week.

Skills you may be able to turn into a business:

Gardening

Setting up a gardening business is a great way to bring in some extra cash. If you love being outdoors then this could be a great side hustle for you.

Lots of people use gardeners, either because they don’t have much spare time or they’re not physically able to do the job.

Teaching

Is Maths or English your thing? Parents will pay to have their children tutored, particularly in the run up to exam time.

Music tuition is also big business. I had violin and piano lessons as a child and my parents paid a fortune for them!

Don’t forget about the other things we’ve talked about earlier in the course too – there’s cleaning, dog-walking, freelance writing…

The possibilities are endless really. Think about your skills and play to them.
