Christmas Gift Ideas for Kids, Tweens and Teens
With Christmas fast approaching, it’s time to turn our thoughts to present buying. In our house, we have a teen, a tween and a younger child, and the younger they are, the easier they are to buy for! Teens and tweens are often really difficult to buy for, and the things they do ask for can often be ridiculously expensive! I’ve had some great ideas for gifts for each of these age groups this year, I hope you find them useful!
Christmas Gifts for Kids
The Elf on the Shelf
If you’ve got an elf visiting your home this Christmas then I know just how hard it can be to keep the magic alive and come up with fun new things for the elf to do! That’s where these The Elf on the Shelf accessories come in super handy! There are lots of different options to suit all budgets and ages!

Little Grunt Yeti & Book
This Little Grunt Yeti & Book set is a brilliant gift idea for young fans of The Elf on the Shelf. This gift set features the elf’s friend Little Grunt. The set contains a plush yeti and a book following his story trying to make friends. The book follows the story of Little Grunt, the little yeti with the big heart.

Bath Paint Sticks
I don’t know about your children, but mine have always loved bath paints and I like to get them some every year to put in their stockings. The Bath Paint Sticks from Little Brian are really bright and vibrant but they’re super easy to clean!

Crystal Art Buddies
We love anything diamond art related in this house. I became a huge fan in the run up to last Christmas and I still enjoy doing it every week. I find it incredibly relaxing and I love it when the kids get involved with it too. Crystal Art Buddies are perfect for children. They are just the right size so that kids enjoy making them without getting fed up, and there are lots of different popular characters available including characters from Harry Potter, The Lion King, Star Wars and even some Marvel Characters.

Crystal Art Books
Another option for diamond art fans is Crystal Art Books from Craft Buddies. These all feature a crystal picture on the front for your child to complete and they can then use the pages inside to write or draw!

Craft Supplies
We love getting crafty in our house. It’s a great way to decompress after a busy day and I love seeing the children being creative! I’ve used Baker Ross a number of times in the past, particularly when I was childminding, and I absolutely love their craft sets. In particular, we have really enjoyed their mosaic tile coaster kits this year.

We also love their Cotton Sand! You can shape the sand to make pretty much anything and it moulds to shape without the usual mess you would expect from sand. This is ideal for sensory play without having to worry about all the cleaning up afterwards. It’s also perfect for children like my son who hate getting their hands messy.

Construction Toys
We love building with things like lego and building blocks, but there are so many more options out there these days! These Octagonal Construction Bricks from Baker Ross are brightly coloured and really simple to connect together making them a great toy for children this Christmas.

Stunt Scooter
For slightly older kids, a stunt scooter is a great gift idea this Christmas. This stunt scooter from skates.co.uk is ideal for kids who want to have a go at some stunts but also for those who just love scooting around the local park!

Dobble Super Mario
We love playing Dobble with the kids. It’s a great game to take away with us as it’s nice and compact and it’s suitable for ages 6+ which means all three of our children can join in. This year, we’re adding Dobble Super Mario to our collection. The game is really simple to play – you simply have to find matching symbols between your card and the other players. Every card has one image in common with all of the other cards – it’s quite clever really!
Ben 10 Omnitrix
Ben 10 has been a firm favourite in our house since my eldest son was young. And now, history is repeating itself as my youngest has become a big Ben 10 fan! We were recently sent a few of the toys from the new Ben 10 movie to review and they were a huge hit! The Omnitrix in particular has been played with a lot since it arrived. It’s a really cool gadget and it makes my youngest son feel as though he’s actually got superhero powers!

HEXBUG JunkBots Dumpster
We were recently sent a set of these HEXBUG JunkBots toys and they’ve been a huge hit with my 5-year-old son. Featuring 36 collectable JunkBots, this range is sure to be a huge hit this Christmas! Each toy JunkBot has to be rescued from its trash can and they’re all incredibly unique and really fun to play with. I love ranges like this – whenever somebody asks what they can buy for my son, it’s really easy to be able to just point people in the direction of one range of toys!
The Snowman Bean Toy
Christmas isn’t Christmas without snuggling up together and watching The Snowman! I have loved doing this every year since being a small child, I would have loved this Snowman Bean Toy back then!
Personalised Christmas Story
There is nothing nicer than receiving a beautiful book for Christmas, especially when that book is all about you! These stunning Christmas storybooks are personalised with your child’s name and picture! I can’t wait for Connor to see his at Christmas time.
PLAYin CHOC ToyChoc Boxes
My kids have always loved getting a Kinder Surprise Egg as a treat now and then. But, I always hate that the little plastic eggs with the plastic toys inside. They get played with for may ten minutes before being cast aside and ending up at the bottom of the toy box never to be played with again. It seems like such a waste. The PLAYin Xmas Choc ToyChoc boxes are an eco-friendly alternative and are perfect for Christmas stockings. Each Xmas ToyChoc Box contains 2 allergen-free organic chocolates, a 3D Christmas card puzzle toy, and a fun fact card.

Handmade Jewellery
My teenage daughter absolutely loves her jewellery at the moment and she is particularly keen on jewellery with crystals. She likes to layer up bracelets on both her arms, but she hasn’t had any necklaces that she’s been able to find in her favourite colour – turquoise. Xander Kostroma have some stunning pieces of crystal jewellery and I know she will love this 925 Sterling Silver Turquoise & Clear Quartz Layered Necklace.
Cloud by Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande Cloud Eau de Parfum is a perfect gift idea for teenagers who want to smell fresh and sweet. This perfume is a blend of floral and fruity scents, with notes of lavender, pear, and coconut. The fragrance is light and airy, making it perfect for everyday wear. The bottle itself is also very stylish and eye-catching, with a cloud-shaped design and a cute pom-pom attached to the cap. The perfume is long-lasting, so teenagers can enjoy the scent throughout the day.

Canvas Bag
Canvas bags seem to be all the rage amongst teenage girls at the moment, at least they are with my daughter and her friends. Whenever she heads out, she always grabs her old canvas bag that she made on her first visit to her now high school. But, she turns it inside out as she’s embarrassed about the artwork on it! These skull canvas bags are stunning and will make the perfect gift for teenage girls this Christmas.

Harry Potter Enamel Pins
If, like me, you have a Harry Potter fan in the family, then these enamel pins are the perfect gift! There are house pins for each of the Hogwarts houses – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. There is also a special Back to Hogwarts pin of the Hogwarts Express. These would make lovely collector’s items for any Harry Potter fan!
Branded clothing
As they get older, kids start to become more aware of what they’re wearing, and it’s all brands, brands, brands once the teenage years land! This can be expensive, but there are ways to get genuine branded clothes at really reasonable prices. I absolutely love MandM Direct, they have great discounts on branded items.
They have a really wide range of products, and they’re often getting new lines in, so it’s always worth a look!

FRIENDS Trivia Game
Friends has seen a huge surge in popularity over the last couple of years, particularly in the tween-teen age group. My 11 year old daughter loves the show and has a few items of clothes and games! I found this FRIENDS trivia game that would make the perfect gift for any Friends fan!
I’ve always found it harder to buy for the kids as they get older, so hopefully you’ve found these suggestions useful.
