I’m always on the lookout for fun and easy ways to enjoy my favorite comfort foods, and these Philly Cheesesteak Sliders have quickly become a popular recipe in my house. They’re the perfect bite-sized version of a classic Philly cheesesteak, but made for sharing (or eating all by yourself, no judgment!). The combination of tender, thinly sliced beef, melty cheese, and the soft yet slightly crisped bun makes these sliders so irresistible. It’s a quick and satisfying meal that’ll impress anyone lucky enough to try them.
The great thing about Philly Cheesesteak Sliders is how customizable they are, too. You can tweak the recipe to your liking – whether you prefer provolone or classic American cheese, or if you want to pile on extra peppers and onions, you do you! I like to make sure the beef is well-seasoned and the buns are brushed with a buttery, garlicky mixture before baking so they come out golden and full of flavor. Trust me, these sliders are packed with so much deliciousness, and the best part is they’re ready in no time.
Every time I make these, my family and friends are always asking for the recipe, and I can’t blame them! They’re a crowd-pleaser whether you’re hosting a game day or just craving a delicious sandwich. Plus, they’re super easy to put together. You don’t need to be a pro in the kitchen to pull off this dish – it’s all about layering the ingredients in a baking dish and letting the oven do the work. So, if you’re in the mood for a savory, cheesy treat, give these Philly Cheesesteak Sliders a try!

Ingredients
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced and halved: Add a crisp, slightly sweet crunch with the fresh green bell pepper slices.
- 1 yellow onion, quartered and sliced: The yellow onion brings a mild sweetness and savory depth to the dish.
- 14 oz package shaved steak: Thinly sliced shaved steak provides the perfect tender, juicy base for these sliders.
- 1 tsp steak seasoning: A dash of steak seasoning enhances the savory flavor of the beef.
- 6 slices provolone cheese: Provolone cheese melts beautifully to create a rich, gooey layer of cheese.
- 12 slider rolls: Soft, pillowy slider rolls are the ideal vessel for these tasty cheesesteak fillings.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I use a different type of cheese for these sliders? Yes! While provolone is traditional, you can easily substitute with other cheeses like mozzarella, cheddar, or even American cheese for a different flavor profile.
2. Can I make these sliders ahead of time? Definitely! You can prepare the sliders up to the point of baking and refrigerate them overnight. When you’re ready to bake, just pop them in the oven as directed.
3. Can I use chicken instead of beef for these sliders? Yes, you can swap out the shaved steak for thinly sliced chicken breast or chicken thighs for a lighter version of these sliders.
4. Can I make the sliders without the bell pepper and onion? Of course! If you’re not a fan of bell peppers or onions, feel free to skip them. The sliders will still be delicious with just the beef, cheese, and buns.
5. Can I freeze these Philly Cheesesteak Sliders? Yes! After baking, you can freeze the sliders individually, and they will last up to 3 months. To reheat, just bake at 350°F until warmed through.
6. How do I make the sliders spicier? For a spicy kick, add some sliced jalapeños, or drizzle hot sauce or a spicy mayo onto the sliders before serving. You can also use a pepper jack cheese for added heat.
7. Can I make these sliders without the butter on the rolls? You can skip the butter if you prefer, but it really helps to create a crispy, golden crust on the rolls, which adds extra flavor.
