Keeping your business premises safe during the pandemic

It’s been a really difficult year for many people, but especially for those running their own businesses. Many businesses have been forced to shut for a huge chunk of the year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, some businesses in higher risk areas still haven’t been allowed to open up again. Whilst this has had a devastating impact on those businesses, the safety of customers always has to remain a top priority.

The businesses that have been allowed to either stay open throughout or re-open recently have had to drastically change the way they run to ensure that they keep their customers and staff safe and meet the legal requirements brought in during this year.

Limiting the number of customers on the premises

Many shops, supermarkets and businesses have taken steps to reduce the number of people on the premises at any one time. For retail premises this might mean only allowing a certain number of customers in at once, so there might be a need for people to queue outside. For office based businesses, it might mean asking a proportion of staff to work from home so that there is less risk of spreading the virus between them.

Using industrial cleaners

The way businesses clean has also changed over the course of the year. Businesses are now hiring bigger and better industrial cleaners to ensure their premises are as clean and germ free as possible. We’ve all seen the sanitization stations outside business premises and dotted around inside shops too.
