How many old CDs, DVDs & games have you got gathering dust on a shelf or in a drawer somewhere? I’m guessing that most of us have a fair few! I know we do! DVDs we’ve bought that the children have outgrown take up the most space in this house. Every now and then though, we’ll have a sort out and exchange them for cash. How does it work?

You can either enter the barcode into the box as shown above, or, you can download the app onto your mobile and use the handy barcode scanning tool to get an instant price.

In order to sell items, you’ll need to sell at least £5 worth of stuff. You can sell up to 500 items per order!

It’s free to send your items off. You just need to find a box that fits everything in, then print off the packaging label you receive once you’ve completed your order. You can then choose to drop your package off at one of their send locations or have it collected by courier.

Any downsides?

There’s no doubt that you could probably get more money if you sold your items privately. MusicMagpie do offer low prices in comparison. If you have the time, and you’re not in a hurry for your money, then it’s probably worth selling on eBay or in a local Facebook group.
