I’ve worked with SaveMoneyCutCarbon in the past and I love the ways that they can help people to save money as well as help us to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle too. I love everything that they do and so when I heard about their new mobile app, I couldn’t wait to take a look.
SaveMoneyCutCarbon app
The new SaveMoneyCutCarbon Home app is now available to download for both Apple and Android devices. It is completely FREE to download and it’s full of handy hints and tips to help you to both save money and save the planet too.
The app focuses on helping you to understand the impact of the water and energy you use in your home, and the simple switches you can make to help you to bring down your bills as well helping the planet. The app promises to show you “everything you need to be more sustainable by reducing energy, water, plastic & carbon all while saving money”.
How does it work?
Once you download the app, you’ll be able to access all of the handy features to help you get started. The main homepage is set out really clearly which makes it nice and easy to navigate around the app.
Learn & Save
The Learn & Save section is full of handy articles sharing tips on creating a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle. You can activate push notifications here too so that you always get informed when new articles go live. The articles here will help you to learn things like how to cut the amount of water and energy you use in your home or business. Not only will this lead to savings in your monthly bills, but it is also great for the planet too.
New articles are published regularly and geared toward upcoming events such as how you can be more sustainable on Father’s Day and how to make simple switches to help the ocean for World Ocean Day.
Swap Shop
The Swap Shop section of the app is my favourite part. It’s designed so that you can work through each area of your home and make simple swaps from the products you currently use to more eco-friendly, sustainable products. A big part of this is cutting down on single-use plastic which we all know is incredibly harmful to the environment.
This section makes it so easy to see where you can just make small changes that will have a big impact. Trying to make your home and your lifestyle more eco-friendly can be a little overwhelming at first, but working your way through the Swap Shop section makes it really simple and you can just make one switch at a time in areas that make sense for your home. For example, the app suggests alternatives for cling film and kitchen roll in the kitchen. Just swapping these two products for more sustainable items is a great way to kick-start a more sustainable lifestyle.
I’ve always said that just making small changes is the best way to get started on using less single-use plastic and cutting back on the amount of water you use, and I love that the new SaveMoneyCutCarbon Home App really helps to do this. It’s all set out really clearly and is the perfect way to start making those small changes that lead on to have a big impact on the environment.
