New York, New York, so good they named it twice!
New York is well-known as being a popular place to visit for tourists from all over the world. But many business folk head over there too. New York is home to many world-wide businesses, and with flights from all corners of the globe, it’s easy to see why it’s such a popular choice for business travellers. But any business trip to New York is wasted without visiting a few touristy places whilst you’re out there.
New York – must visit places for your down-time
New York is a vibrant city, with a wealth of places to visit and things to do.
Central Park

With over 37 million visitors every year, Central Park is one of THE places you should put on your list if you’re headed to New York. Central Park is a vast 843 acres of parkland situated between Upper East Side and Upper West Side. It is one of the most-visited parks in USA and one of the most popular film locations in the world.
Take a revitalising stroll through Strawberry Fields and find the famous Beatles memorial mosaic, or hunt for the various sculptures and exhibitions.
Statue of Liberty

This copper statue stands proudly on Liberty Island in New York Harbour. It was originally gifted to the people of New York by the French in 1886 as a sign of friendship between the two countries.
Today, you can take a free tour around the statue where you can learn all about it’s history and the history of Liberty Island.
The statue is such a huge icon on the New York skyline, no visit would be complete without taking it in.
Empire State Building

Situated in mid-town Manhatten, the Empire State Building towers 102 storeys high. Head to the top to enjoy breathtaking 360 degree views of New York. If you have time, you can book tickets to experience sunrise at the Empire State Building. What an incredible experience that must be.
Times Square

Also situated in midtown Manhatten, Times Square is one of the most visited locations in New York. Famous for it’s bright lights and entertainment, it’s a must-see for anyone visiting New York. Here you often find characters from the latest Broadway shows hanging around to entice you in to the famous Broadway theatres.
Visiting Times Square at night is something pretty magical. When all the bright lights illuminate the night sky, you get a real feel for what New York is all about.
Rockefeller Center

Head to the top of the rock for great views of the city, grab a bite to eat at one of the delicious eateries, and check out the art and sculptures on display throughout the complex.
With so many incredible places to visit, it’s easy to see why anyone travelling to New York on business should take a little time out to head off onto the tourist trail. This is just a small selection of the amazing things this city has to offer. New York, New York – so good they named it twice.
