Pork chops are something I cook quite a lot at home. They’re easy, they don’t cost a fortune and I can usually find some in the freezer when I’ve forgotten to think about dinner until far too late in the day.

I do tend to fall back on the same few recipes though, so I wanted to put together a big list of different ways to cook them. Instructions:

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.

  2. Fry the pork chops in a skillet until they’re nicely browned.

  3. About 5 minutes before they’re done, spoon orange marmalade over each pork chop and drizzle with teriyaki sauce.

  4. Continue cooking until the pork chops are fully cooked and the marmalade and sauce are hot and blended. Serve on their own or over steamed rice.

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper
  • Chopped Green Onions (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper until well blended.

  2. Add the pork chops to the bowl, turning to coat them evenly in the marinade. Make sure they’re mostly covered.

  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to let the flavors soak in.

  4. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and cook the pork chops for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  5. Remove from the pan and let the pork chops rest for 10 minutes.

  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired, before serving.
