Superdrug points – the Superdrug Health & Beautycard
I’m a big fan of loyalty cards and discount cards. They’re usually completely free to sign up for and offer either money back, points you can use towards future purchases or personalised discounts. Gone are the days when owning a loyalty card for every shop meant you had a purse full of cards and bursting at the seams. These days, most loyalty cards can by used via a mobile phone app, meaning you can simply open up the app and scan your card whenever you shop. That’s exactly what you can do with the Superdrug Health & Beautycard which allows you to earn Superdrug’s points. Let’s take a look at how you can get involved and what the benefits are of having a Superdrug rewards card.
[lwptoc]What is the Superdrug Health and Beautycard?
Similar to the Boots Advantage Card, Superdrug have their own loyalty card. It was first launched back in 2011 and was originally called The Superdrug Beautycard. In 2015, it was rebranded as the Superdrug Health & Beautycard to reflect that Superdrug sell both health and beauty cards. The idea was that by renaming the card, it would appeal to more customers.
How Does the Superdrug Health and Beautycard Work?
Collect points every time you shop
Like most store loyalty cards, the Superdrug Beautycard works by allowing you to collect points every time you shop. You will earn 1 point for every £1 you spend either in-store, online, or via the Superdrug app.
The Superdrug Health & Beauty Card MY REWARD scheme
As well as earning points, you will also be eligible for certain rewards too. Every time you spend £5 or more in one single transaction, your purchases will be logged as an eligible transaction. This is for all purchases in-store, online or via the Superdrug app. You have twelve months from the date of your first transaction to work towards various rewards:
Reward Tier 1
When you have five qualifying shops, you will be entered into Superdrug’s monthly prize draw to win a holiday.
Reward Tier 2
When you have 15 qualifying shops, you will be able to choose a free product from a given selection. You will need to collect your freebie from a Superdrug store and you won’t be able to move onto the next reward tier until you’ve done this.
Reward Tier 3
After 30 qualifying shops, you will be able to claim a free Beauty Box from Superdrug.com.
Reward Tier 4
Once you hit 50 qualifying shops, you will unlock double points for the next twelve months.
How can I get and use the card?
There are a number of different ways you can get hold of a Superdrug Health & Beautycard. You can pick up a leaflet in-store or sign up with your email address on the Superdrug website or via the Superdrug app. If you sign up in-store, you can still register your card on the app so that you can use the app whenever you make a purchase.
Once you’ve joined, you can then use your card or use the app whenever you make a purchase.
How to Collect Superdrug Points
If you’re making a purchase in-store, then make sure you present your Health & Beautycard before you pay. You can still get your points added to your account after you’ve paid, but it gets a little bit more complicated. If you forget to present your card before you pay, then you’ll need to ask customer services to add the points on manually. They will need:
- Receipt number
- Store number
- Till number
- Total paid
- Date
If you’re shopping online or via the Superdrug app, then simply make sure you’re signed in to your account and the points will be added automatically.
Excluded products
As with most store loyalty cards, there are some products that won’t earn you any points.
- Stamps
- Mobile top-up
- NHS Services
- Superdrug Online Doctor
- Infant milk formula
- Gift cards
How to Spend Superdrug Points
You can use your Superdrug points to pay for purchases either in-store or online. You will only be able to use points in increments of 100. For example, if you have 250 points and spend £2.50, you will be able to use 200 points to cover £2 and will need to pay an additional 50p.
To use your points in-store, just hand your card to the cashier and tell them how many points you’d like to use. If you’re using your points to make an online purchase, make sure you’re logged into your Health & Beautycard account before adding products to your basket, then select how many points you’d like to use towards your purchase when you reach the payment section.
