Halloween is such a good excuse to have a bit of fun with food. Give me a packet of candy eyes and suddenly I want to turn absolutely everything into a ghost, monster or mummy.
I’ve pulled together 38 Halloween snacks here and there’s a real mixture. Some are properly spooky, some are more cute than scary and quite a few are really simple to make. There are plenty of sweet treats, but I’ve snuck a few savory ones in there too.
These are great if you’re having a Halloween party, need something fun for the kids or just fancy making something a bit different in the run up to Halloween. There are plenty of quick and easy ideas, along with some that really look the part.

Instructions:

Arrange the cookies on parchment paper or a plate.

Spread about 1/4 teaspoon of white frosting in the center of each cookie, forming a 1-inch square. Use the cookie’s lines as a guide if desired.

Add a small dot of strawberry jelly in the center of the frosting, about one-third the size of a Skittle, so it looks like a drop of blood.

- 10 oz Ghirardelli’s milk chocolate melting wafer
- 6 Oreo cookies
- 1 box Reese’s pieces
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter
Instructions:

Melt the chocolate in the microwave on defrost mode for 2 minutes, then stir. Heat for another 1 ½ minutes and stir again until smooth.

Spoon some chocolate into the mold, add Oreo cookies, and cover with more chocolate to fill the mold completely.

Place the mold in the freezer for 10 minutes, then remove once the chocolate has hardened.

Heat the peanut butter in the microwave for 45 seconds, then stir until smooth. Transfer to a piping bag, snip off the tip, and drizzle over the Oreos.

Add Reese’s on top and let set until dry.

Ingredients:
- 6 sheets of phyllo dough
- 200 g pumpkin, peeled and cut into small cubes
- 100 g feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup baby spinach, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 2-3 tbsp melted butter (for brushing the phyllo dough)
- Pumpkin seeds or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and sauté the pumpkin cubes until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and honey (if using), and stir.
- Add the baby spinach and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until wilted. Turn off the heat and add the crumbled feta cheese. Gently mix the filling.
- Cut the phyllo dough sheets into squares (about 10×10 cm each). Brush each square with melted butter.
- Stack three squares on top of each other, rotating them slightly to form a star shape. Press the stacked squares into a muffin tin, shaping them into cups.
- Fill each phyllo cup with the pumpkin, spinach, and feta filling.
